Stafer
Stafer Via Matteotti, 29
Nimis
2 - 4 beds
Nestled in the green Friulian hills, the house is one of the many symbols of the resilience of the Friulians and of the village of Nimis in particular. Built in 1958 with funding from post-war reconstruct following the burning of the village by Cossacks allied with the Germans, it was damaged by the 1976 earthquake and subsequently renovated.
The apartment is the result of a conservative renovation that highlighted the original construction elements: terrazzo floors, cedar parquet, a historic sink, and period furniture. Welcoming and bright, the house boasts a comfortable living area with a separate kitchen, a double bedroom, a second bedroom, and a fully renovated bathroom with shower. The real highlight is the exterior: a large sun terrace, perfect for enjoying the peace of the village, and a large fenced garden surrounding the right side of the house, ideal for relaxing and playing outdoors in complete safety.
Pets are allowed for a surcharge.

The name of the house, "Ca' di Stafêr," harks back to the family's nickname in the village, "Stafêr," from the Friulian word for "stay still." Ironically, they were hardworking and always active people, like grandmother Tunine Stafer (Antonia), who carded wool and made mattresses until she was old, and her son Nino, the current owner, who remains active despite his advanced age.
Inside the house, you'll find brochiures and information of restaurants and turistic places in the area.
